Brittle hair and I dont use Chems, color, or heat?

In the African-American and I wear my hair natural since June last year. My Verrrry hair is coarse and firm in its natural state. I use verrrry low thermal output, I blow dry it once a month for about 5-10 minutes so it does even approximately straight, and I do not use any more. Every night I twist it about 30 twists to keep it manageable, and add a few nights a week I olive oil. I take the hair, skin and nails multivitamin from GNC. I break out trim every few weeks, so why are the ends, and why it is sometimes brittle? Some are clearly divided, others are just little hair. Since I currently do not damage my hair, what's the problem? Should I be worried? What do you suggest?

u need treatment with hot oil … its not a chemical but I moisturizes the hair and scalp, it seems your problem b / c of your scalp is dry and scaling
